Behind the Bags

Traveling to Italy has always been my heart’s desire. Everything the Italians do is done with so much passion, grace, and decadence.  I would spend many enjoyable hours browsing the boutiques and leather shops along the breath taking Italian seaside ports in search of the perfect handbag. There is nothing like the touch and smell of buttery soft Italian leather handbags in mouthwatering colors.  I used to ponder, "Why can’t I find affordable handbags and accessories impeccably crafted from this quality of leather back in the states?"  Destination: dreams come true.  “My Dreambag” handbags, accessories, and mancessories are custom made to your specifications from only the finest Italian leather.

I also design a line of handbags for those in need of immediate gratification!  “Carrie Ella Handbags,” a division of “My Dreambag,” are made from lavish leather for the woman who adores function and frivolity.

Carrie Ella was recently named “Designer of the Day” by “Handbags 101” and debuted her Spring collection at the 2011 RNSH pre-Oscar Fashion and Beauty Suite to celebrities, stylists, and industry VIPs.  She was selected to design a commerrotive handbag for the New York Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation fundraiser, “Women on The Move,” where honorees included Gloria Gaynor.  In addition, she has been invited to the Cannes Film Festival to showcase her designs.  Her celebrity clients include Steven Tyler and “Bollywood” star Udita Goswami.

Carrie Ella recently opened her first showroom and design lounge in Chicago, IL.

Carrie Ella resides in Chicago, IL with her husband and 2 year old son.
